            The 24th CRSI National Symposium in Chemistry (CRSI-NSC-24) will be held in CSIR-CLRI Chennai from February 8 to 10, 2019 under the auspices of the Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI). On behalf of the organizing committee, we cordially invite you to attend this prestigious symposium. The symposium includes medal lectures and poster presentations apart from special lectures by Eminent Chemists from India and abroad. The objectives of the National Symposium in Chemistry are to provide a forum for the scientists, teachers and students in the country to participate and discuss the recent advances in Chemical Sciences. This also aims to promote exchange of ideas and creates an opportunity for collaborative endeavors in frontier interdisciplinary areas. We look forward to your participation and presence in the symposium.
            The 13th CRSI-RSC Joint Symposium will be held at IIT Madras, Chennai on February 7, 2019, which will be jointly hosted by Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI) and Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC).

Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI)

The Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI) was established in 1999 as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the country's independence. Currently, CRSI represents more than 2000 lifetime members, who participate in the study, practice, teaching and promotion of chemistry. The main objectives of the CRSI are to recognize, promote and foster talent in Chemistry and Chemical Sciences and to improve the quality of Chemical Education at all levels. The CRSI organizes conferences, seminars, workshops, symposia and other related programs to facilitate and promote research in all branches of Chemistry.


CSIR-CLRI, Chennai

The Central Leather Research Institute (CSIR-CLRI), a central hub in Indian leather sector with direct roles in education, research, training, testing, designing, forecasting, planning, environmental technologies, social empowerment and leading in science and technology related to leather. In addition, CSIR-CLRI is involved in research and development related to frontier areas of Chemistry and Chemical Education.

Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) is one among the foremost institutes of national importance in higher technological education, basic and applied research. Since inception in 1961, the Department of Chemistry has been engaged in imparting the highest level and quality academic education and has focussed upon addressing key scientific problems.
